Welcomes Our New Stewardship Director to the Team!

The
Aquidneck Land Trust proudly announces the selection of its new Stewardship
Director, Alex Chuman, who officially began his work with us on September
2nd!
Alex graduated with a master's of environmental management from Duke
University, where he focused his work on land conservation and conservation
planning, and previously graduated with an undergraduate degree from Brown
University in environmental science. During his time in North Carolina at Duke,
he worked with land trusts on conservation planning and stewardship issues.
Between his undergraduate and graduate degrees, Alex worked doing research in
Narragansett Bay and in a number of field studies across the country with
birds. In his spare time, he enjoys all things outdoors, cooking, and
traveling. A native Rhode Islander, Alex is excited to return to Rhode Island
and get to work conserving land on Aquidneck Island!
There was
robust interest in our Stewardship Director position and we received
applications from many wonderful individuals from all over the country.
Please
join us in welcoming Alex to the ALT team! Alex can be reached at 849-2799 x 14 or achuman@ailt.org
