An Invitation to the Rovensky Park Closing

Dear Friends:
I'm writing to invite
you to a very special event on Thursday, February 10th at
Rovensky Park on Bellevue Avenue in Newport. A tent and some light
(warm!) refreshments will be provided to insulate us from the weather.
We are gathering to
celebrate the fact that on February 10th The Preservation
Society will grant to the Aquidneck Land Trust a perpetual
Conservation Easement on this extraordinary piece of open space, which
will ensure that the park will continue to be maintained as a passive,
pastoral park for the enjoyment of the public forever.
The Conservation
Easement will provide a critical extra level of protection for the
park, and marks an innovative and important collaboration of the
historic preservation and conservation interests of these two
organizations.
We'd like to invite you
to witness the signing of this historic Conservation Easement
agreement by the leadership of The Preservation Society and the
Aquidneck Land Trust at Rovensky Park on Thursday, February 10th at 2 p.m. We hope to see you there
Please RSVP to Courtney
Huth at (401) 849-2799 ext. 19 or by clicking here .
Sincerely,

Edward Sortwell Clement, Jr.
Executive Director
